The first Apollo English Center was established by founders Khalid Muhmood and Arabella Peters, with representatives from the British Royal Family and Vietnamese Ministry of Education & Training.
Apollo was a pioneer organization authorized by the Cambridge Examinations. That same year, Apollo became a strategic partner of Vietnam Television (VTV), advising educational programs like “Đường Lên Đỉnh Olympia” and “Rung Chuông Vàng”…

Apollo became the only Vietnamese member of International House (IH), the world's oldest and largest network of independent language schools.
In collaboration with Oxford University Press, Apollo was a pioneer to launch the Get-Set-Go international standard curriculum, which is after 2 years and until now widely used in Vietnamese education.
Following the success of Get-Set-Go, Apollo launched the global citizen training system AGLS in 2017 - a strategic cooperation with the best book publisher National Geographic Learning.
Founder Khalid Muhmood was awarded “Vì Sự Nghiệp Giáo Dục” by the Ministry of Education and Training (2006) for his contributions to Vietnamese education. He was also knighted by a member of the royal family in 2008.
Saying “goodbye” to traditional teaching methods, Apollo became the first organization to introduce Internet and IWB interactive boards in Vietnamese classrooms, replacing traditional learning methods that relied on blackboards and CDs.
In 2018, Apollo was awarded the "Education Platform of the Year Award" at the Education Investor Asia Summit for its innovative global citizenship training program for Vietnamese children.
Apollo has expanded its reach to over 70 centers nationwide and has been recognized with prestigious awards including the Deloitte Award, Best Managed Company, and the APEA Inspiring Brand Award.
Always a pioneer in improving the learning experience in the field of English in Vietnam, Apollo English is the first organization to cooperate with the world's leading educational and technology partners such as: National Geographic Learning, Ooolab, PPM, DLA… to launch Apollo Active – a hybrid learning model in 2023.
